Bowl | Ocean Blue | with cosmetic flaw

This is one of my first large-sized bowls thrown on the wheel. Before the bisque firing, a small piece broke off while handling it. I cleaned up the edges and fired it anyway, because I still felt proud of the shape.

I like that it has this little cosmetic flaw, because it acts as a reminder that perfection is not necessary to create something beautiful. It makes myself relax into the process and I remain in connection with the joy I felt when I made this piece.

As a second-quality piece, it’s priced well below what it’s worth. Hope it finds a good home where you’ll enjoy its imperfect charm.

The color is clear ocean blue in the inside and it becomes blue, greenish with brown color on the outside.
